The Bar is by far a favorite area in the Club. The Bar Area is known (among members and guests alike) for the most comfortable bar stools…. making it difficult for people to leave the Bar. As a venue for sponsored Happy Hour or Cocktail Events, the Bar area can accommodate up to 30-40 persons comfortably.
The Main Dining room is the busiest area during the weekdays for lunch. The main restaurant offers a light, airy atmosphere where one can enjoy the delectable food. As the regular venue for “Economic Forum for Trade and Industry and similar presentations, the Main Dining Room can easily accommodate up to 40 persons.
The Library is ideal for small meeting groups (10-12 persons). By varying the set up it can accommodate up to 20 persons. The room houses a collection of books mostly donated by members of the Club, ranging from rare anthology to classic novels typically in the German language. Being tucked away from the main activities it is also the most requested room in the German Club due to its intimate ambiance and the privacy it offers.
Also known as the “smoking lounge,” the Veranda is where one can enjoy a convivial, relaxed atmosphere. With its newly renovated interior and quiet, subdued ventilation system, the veranda is preferred for entertaining smoking guests for cocktails or an after-dinner brandy, and popular also for business or lingering, casual meals over drinks or wine from our extensive wine list. On larger private functions and traditional events such as “Hamburg Night”, “Kohl u. Pinkel” or the annual Members’ Christmas Party, the Veranda easily converts into an integral extension of the Main Dining and the Bar area.
